This guide works for most ATA motors including:

Typical ATA garage remotes have:
- 2 or 4 buttons
- Keyring style remote
- LED light indicator when pressed
Step 1 — Locate the Learn / Door Code Button
You must access your garage door motor unit.
Usually located:
- On the motor head mounted to ceiling
- Behind light cover or side panel
- Labelled:
✅ DOOR CODE
✅ LEARN
✅ CODE SET

Step 2 — Put Motor Into Programming Mode
- Press DOOR CODE / LEARN button once.
- The LED light will turn ON or start flashing.
👉 Motor is now ready to accept a new remote.
Step 3 — Program the Remote
- Press the button on your new ATA remote.
- Hold for about 2 seconds.
- Release the button.
- Motor light will flash or click.
✅ Remote successfully stored.
Step 4 — Test the Remote
Press the programmed button:
- Door should open or close.
- If nothing happens → repeat Step 2–3.

Common Problems (Quick Fix)
Remote not programming
- Battery flat → replace CR2032 battery
- Too far from motor → stand close
- Memory full → may need reset
Door works intermittently
